Looked at the forecast and picked the least windy day of the week, just a nice 30 knots ;-) and booked the day off.

Called for Al and headed over to the golf course car park (which was flooded). Chris was out kitesurfing and it was really blowing, 30 knots but constant. Al was going for a 4.5m so I did the same and it was the right choice.

Had some really good runs today and nice jumps too and felt right at home right from the start. Great fun heading out towards the point where there was a nice flat water area for some really fast blasting then crash turn and back at full speed into the waves for some more jumps and riding, excellent fun. Made a nice change to be able to actually follow Al around a bit more.

Probably my best ever session on the 4.5m and wave board and it was a shame to come in with the conditions just right for me but with all the jumping I was shattered.

My new wetsuit was the business, nice and warm.

Next year I need to start coping with the bigger waves of a full on SW'ly and that gybing thingy need to improve too.
